WakeFest is an all-arts festival celebrating and highlighting artists, performers and creators, allowing them to come together and fuse their talents with other artists from outside our community. Equally important is the festival’s aim to inspire all people in our community to engage their own creative process in a supportive atmosphere. The festival spans Thursday to Sunday, August 27th – 30th, 2009 (three days/four nights).

Each discipline has a locally-based curator responsible for the artistic and technical needs of their respective areas (establishing themes and projects, contacting artists and coordinating volunteers). These are dedicated and inspired professionals from Wakefield, Chelsea, Rupert and Masham.
